we invite you to join us on a professional-business conference:

CURRENT ISSUES IN WATER SUPPLY AND SEWAGE

This expert meeting is intended to be a place of gathering and exchange of experiences between a large number of experts from the Republic of Croatia and surrounding countries, as well as numerous experts from the wider European environment. In this way, this professional-business meeting will be one of the most important events in water economy in the region, and as such is an indispensable event for getting acquainted with the current situation in the water and sanitation sector, as well as the developments which will shape the future of this sector.

The backbone of the professional part of the conference will be professional papers from Croatia and the surrounding countries, as well as those originating from other European regions. By presenting their professional papers the authors will have the opportunity to inform the professional public, their colleagues and the public at large about the latest developments and experiences in development and management of water supply, drainage and wastewater treatment.

The conference is designed to allow for direct contact between experts and producers of products and services, with the possibility of gaining immediate insight into each individual product or service. Therefore, we expect to host a large number of exhibitors at the conference for whom an adequate exhibition space is provided.

For many years, especially since the accession of Croatia into the European Union in 2013, the implementation of capital investments in the field of water economy has been under way, mostly through EU programmes, such as the EU Cohesion Fund. This conference is expected to provide a platform for the exchange of experiences in the implementation of such projects, with an emphasis on problems appearing more frequently, such as the lack of professional workforce, significant increase in the prices of materials and equipment, serious market disturbances slowing down construction projects, etc. In addition to the above, attention will be given to investments from the new EU programme of financing small and medium-sized investments in the water - utility sector through the National Recovery and Resilience Plan (NPOO in Croatian). These investments have just begun to be felt, but are expected to have a greater role in the coming years.

Significant increase in electricity prices has led to major changes in the financial operations of public suppliers, who are now facing serious problems to maintain the current prices of water services. Some suppliers have already made significant price corrections, and many more are considering such a move. Another topic of a seemingly permanent interest are the water losses occurring in water supply. It has long been recognized that water losses are not only a technical, but also a very significant financial category.

The above represents only a part of the much broader context of the operations of public suppliers of water services, but it is these topics that will surely mark this expert meeting and thus contribute to the further development of the entire sector, and allow the general professional public to see the situation and perspectives expected in the coming years.

We believe that current issues in the field of water supply and sewage represent a real challenge for authors of professional papers to present themselves along with their findings, knowledge, professional papers and products, and thus be part of the backbone of this expert conference. We therefore invite the interested and eligible authors to process and prepare their papers for this conference, bearing in mind that by doing so they’re enriching the programme of the conference and contributing to a further development of the issue.

We also invite the professional services of public suppliers of water services, professors, professional services of the competent ministries and Croatian Waters, designers, manufacturers and distributors of equipment, institutes, inspection services, etc., to contribute to the exchange of knowledge, experience and information on this issue through their papers and presentations.

APPLICATION OF PAPERS

Applications for the presentation of papers are sent to the conference organizer, i.e. the Revelin travel agency.

With the application it is necessary to send a summary of professional work up to 100 words, with the names, titles and e-mail addresses of authors and associates. The title and summary of the paper should also be submitted in English.

Applications for presentation of papers with abstracts should be sent by:

16 August 2022

Complete papers must be submitted by:

3 October 2022

All accepted papers will be published in the Conference Proceedings in electronic form.

STYLE AND DELIVERY OF PAPERS

A4 format, max. font size 12, up to 10 pages in MS Office 2003 or higher.

Images in JPEG or TIF format in a scale of 1:1, and a resolution of at least 300 dpi.

Mandatory content of all professional papers:

1. In Croatian

    - name and surname of authors and co-authors with titles

    - contact details of the author and co-authors (company, address, telephone, e-mail address)

2. In Croatian and English

Papers submitted in English only will be published in electronic form in the Conference Proceedings.

The deadline for submission of papers in English is 3 October 2022.

Conference fee

The conference fee is 1.995,00 EUR (including VAT), that is 265,00 € if paid until 14.10.2022. For submissions received later than that date, i.e. from 15.10. onwards, the conference fee shall be 2.500,00 EUR (including VAT), or 332,00 €

The registration fee is paid by all participants of the Conference regardless of the number of days of participation, or the number of employees from each organization.

The registration fee must be paid before arriving for accreditation at the hotel.

The price of the registration fee includes:


* Refers to participants who are in the Revelin arrangement.
Participants staying in their own arrangement may participate at the gala dinner, but have to pay an additional cost for the dinner.

Attending this professional-business conference ensures the collection of points for professional development in construction and mechanical engineering.All participants of the conference must access accreditation immediately upon arrival at the hotel, as without it it will not be possible to attend the conference activities.

APPLICATIONS FOR PARTICIPATION AND RESERVATIONS OF ACCOMMODATION

Applications for participation and hotel booking

Around 500 participants are expected to take place at the conference. Accommodation will be provided within the Olympia Vodice complex in Vodice.

Applications for participation and reservation of accommodation in the hotel can be made on the Revelin website or through a readily printed and certified application sheet that you can send to your email address or by fax. The application serves as a Contract for the purchase of the arrangement and on the basis of it you will be issued an invoice for the completed reservation of the accommodation and the registration fee.

Written cancellation of the reservation without charge is possible no later than 28 October 2022, after which cancellation of arrival will be charged in the amount of one day’s arrangement.

Sponsors of the conference shall have the status of full participants and are obliged to pay the registration fee.

Any type of business activity during the event will be carried out only in accordance with a special agreement with the organizer and with official accreditation.
